In the early months of the invasion, WCK served millions of fresh meals to Ukrainian families caught between the choice of fleeing their homes or facing the ravages of war. Now, we are focused on supporting frontline communities in eastern and southern Ukraine where the need for food has become more urgent than ever.
WCK's response has included:
- Freshly prepared meals, prepared in our WCK Kitchens and alongside restaurant partners.
- Food & vegetable kits, designed to sustain families for weeks and containing essential staples.
- Seed kits, empowering communities to grow their own food and support long-term resilience.
- Special and traditional meals during key holidays, bringing warmth and a sense of normalcy during difficult times.
- Chicken kit project, providing families in frontline and rural Ukrainian communities with live hens, feed, and care guidance to support long-term food security and self-reliance.
- Community kitchens, supporting shelters for people displaced from frontline areas by providing equipment, supplies, and training to help communities prepare their own meals and strengthen self-reliance.
As the situation continues to evolve, WCK will continue to help in the best way we know how, with a freshly prepared plate of food.
