Emergency Relief Needed in Los Angeles County
Support people affected by dangerous fires. Kohler will be matching all donations up to $20,000
About this Giving Opportunity
Five dangerous wildfires, including the destructive Palisades fire, are burning in Los Angeles County. Fueled by powerful Santa Ana winds, the wildfires have burned more than 5,000 acres and destroyed more than 1,000 buildings. Two people have died and there are a high number of serious injuries. More than 50,000 people are under evacuation orders. There is a state of emergency for affected areas and there are risks that the situation could worsen.
Parts of Los Angeles County have received no significant rainfall in months. The very dry conditions, and winds of up to 100 miles per hour, are driving the rapid spread of the fires, and complicating the heroic efforts of firefighters. None of the fires are contained at this time.
We can help the people of Los Angeles County by supporting organizations providing emergency relief.
- World Central Kitchen: Supporting first responders and families impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
- California Fire Foundation: Providing immediate and long-term relief to communities and survivors of wildfires.
Kohler will be matching all donations up to $20,000.
