LAKESHORE NATURAL RESOURCE PARTNERSHIP

Since its inception in 2003, the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership (LNRP) has become the leading environmental advocate for the waters of Northeast Wisconsin, fostering stewardship of the planet's largest freshwater ecosystem, and taking action to champion the environment. Our mission statement has evolved over time to state simply, "We are a conservation champion fostering community and partner collaboration from the Niagara Escarpment to the shores of Lake Michigan."

LNRP helps local organizations build capacity so that they can meet the natural resource protection needs that underlie the basin’s prosperity, quality of life, and identity. Serving as an umbrella organization to eleven partner groups, LNRP seeks to increase community involvement in local environmental issues where individuals can and do make a difference. LNRP has strategically created a support structure through its Stewardship Fund that invests in community and creates opportunities to protect our land and water resources. Over the last decade, LNRP has been successful in supporting local activities focused on good stewardship of our region's natural resources that have impacted hundreds of thousands of area residents and visitors.
